A Very Sparkly Afternoon!

We have received so many new sparkly jewelry pieces in the shop recently!  What better way to spend an afternoon than playing dress up while having a photoshoot? We thought 'why not make a day of it' !?! We had so much fun with Trisha of BLJÉ Salon and our lovely model (and occasional baking companion) Beka!

We started the day at BLJÉ! Hailing from Louisiana, Trisha of BLJÉ Salon is new to downtown Bellville and we are so happy she’s here! You had better hurry and make an appointment because her book is filling up fast!  Also think of her when it's time for your next manicure and pedicure (our appointments are booked)! We had a lovely time chatting with Trisha as she expertly coiffed Beka’s long and lovely locks into a Bridgette Bardot-esque up-do! After the do was done we headed back to Coco and Duckie to accessorize to our hearts content!

Big or small, real or faux, understated or over the top, jewelry is (in our opinion) an essential part of an ensemble. A pair of earrings can take an outfit from ordinary to outstanding!  Some of us can’t go out of the house without loading up on necklaces, and for others simple studs will do. Jewelry is all about adding joy to your look  - so don’t stress, just have fun!

Sparkles make us smile, maybe even a little brighter than we would if we were wearing ’boring’ jewelry. Sparkly statement pieces are not just for fancy occasions. Sparkles should be worn daily. A glamorous necklace can transform a plain outfit into something special, and a particularly large necklace might be the only accessory you need with your ensemble.

One of our favorite new bracelets is the Charlotte Bracelet, choose from  frosty white, baby pink or aqua, you will agree they are very eye catching! We really like pairing it with other pieces that are a bit more classic, like our Evermore Bracelet from Visible Faith Jewelry and our O-Link Bracelet from Grayling Jewelry (coming to CocoAndDuckie.com soon!). This is our favorite way to wear rhinestone-esque pieces as day wear.

Beka had a very old hollywood glam vibe going on in her cute vintage aqua wiggle dress and our Blake Necklace and Teardrop Earrings from Rachael Ryen

Comment below and let us know how you like to style sparkly pieces!  We would love to hear from you.
