Lovely Libations + Floral Elixirs
We adore the magical drinks mixologists concoct. Have you ever tried to recreate a delicious fruit or flower infused cocktail that you've had on an evening out? We have but most of the time while trying to create a harmonious blend of floral, fruit and alcohol we find something is missing.
We have been reading The Savoy Cocktail Book by Harry Craddock and we love the no nonsense approach to mixing cocktails in this fascinating record of the cocktails that set London alight in the 1920's & 1930's. In search for interesting mixers we discovered these fantastic cocktail, wine & champagne elixirs that have made the process of cocktail concocting much more delicious and enjoyable! For our latest at home happy hour we tried Deco Tartelette's recipe for Blood Orange and Floral Sugar Cosmos. Armed with our no nonsense tips from the Savoy guide, Orange Blossom Floral Water (available in our web shop now!) and the inspiration from Deco Tartelette's beautiful post, our foray into mixology was a success!
Try your hand at this delicious cocktail and let us know what you think!
